Kenya Power has announced attachment opportunities for degree, diploma, and certificate students.
In a notice shared on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Kenya Power invited eligible candidates to apply for the advertised opportunities, an initiative aligned with the Government’s commitment to support youth empowerment.
“In line with the Government’s commitment to support youth empowerment, Kenya Power is offering exciting attachment opportunities to continuing students to gain hands-on work experience and develop key employability skills,” said the company.
Kenya Power Announces Attachment Opportunities
The industrial attachment opportunities are available in various departments for a maximum period of three (3) months, effective from January to March 2026.
According to the power distributor, attachment programmes for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree are available in both technical and non-technical areas, similar to diploma applicants.
For students pursuing craft certificates, the available programmes include Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Power Option), Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Building and Civil Engineering, and Plumbing.
The electricity provider further stated that there are no vacancies for Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-related courses for this intake.
Requirements
Students who wish to apply should meet the following requirements:
- Be available full-time for the duration of the program (3 months).
- Be a continuing student, pursuing a Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate (above-stated fields only), in an accredited learning institution.
- Have a valid introduction letter from the respective learning institution.
- Have a valid insurance personal accident cover for the entire period of attachment.
Moreover, those applying for the undergraduate attachment should use the attachment reference number KP1/ATTGRAD/26/1.

Diploma attachment applicants should use the attachment reference number KP1/ATTDIP/26/1. Students pursuing a Craft Certificate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option), while those pursuing a Craft Certificate in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering should use Reference No. KP1/ATTCERT/26/1.

Interested individuals should submit their applications online by visiting the Kenya Power website at http://www.kplc.co.ke, under the Public Information tab and the Career Opportunities section.
Applications should be received by Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Furthermore, Kenya Power stated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, adding that canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.
