The Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Njuguna Ndung’u has announced the appointment of five KRA board members to replace the five appointed during the previous regime.
Darshan Shah, Wilkister Simiyu, Fancy Too, Kamau Kamiru, and Samir Ibrahim will serve for a period of three years, with effect from January 13.
The appointments are in line with section 6 (2) (e) of the Kenya Revenue Authority Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act.

In a gazette notice dated January 12, Ndung’u revoked the appointment of Susan Mudhune, Mukesh Shah, Richard Opembe, Leonard Ithau and Charles Makori Omanga appointed by his predecessor Ukur Yatani.
Board members who survived are Sally Mahihu and Musa Kathanje.
Two months ago, President Ruto appointed Anthony Mwaura, who had served as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Elections Board Chairperson, to chair the KRA board.
