A 24 -year -old Hotelier who bit off his boss’s thumb leading to amputation has been charged at a Nairobi Law Court.
Mohammed Noor Farah who was arraigned and charged at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi is alleged to have intentionally and unlawfully caused grievous harm to Allan Kadogo at Kista coffee Hotel along Banda street in Nairobi.
Noor, the accused is alleged to have committed the offence on June 16th 2022 at around 1700hrs at JKUAT TOWERS in Nairobi, within Nairobi County, the court documents read in part.
The court was told that on the said day, the complainant, a manager at the hotel differed with the accused on the arrangement and parking of goods at the store.
“The complainant was arranging items at the said store and the accused person was disarranging them,the complainant asked him why he was doing so but the accused told him that you did not consult me when you began to arrange them” read the court document in part.
An altercation ensued and the accused jumped and hit Kadogo in the chest with his head sending him to the ground, he followed him there and in a fit of anger, the accused grabbed his right hand of Kadogo bit off his thumb.
Court heard that Kadogo fled for his dear life screaming and yelling while bleeding profusely from the anger bite.
He was rescued by other junior staff who rushed him to a nearby pharmacy for first aid while others fought off The accused.
Kadogo was later admitted to a city hospital where his thumb was amputated, the accused was arrested and charged with causing grievous harm.
Milimani senior principal magistrate slapped the accused with a cash bail of Ksh200k.
