A 34-year-old man died after setting a blaze the car he was riding with his 2-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
The incident occurred on Sunday, August 21 in Nasra Estate, Njiru, Nairobi County.
According to the Police, the deceased identified as Denis Musyoka, and his estranged wife, Elizabeth, had a disagreement.
Furthermore, Musyoka is alleged to have been asking to have his daughter visit him in his house so that they can bond.
Moreover, when Elizabeth arrived at his house on that fateful Sunday, Musyoka allegedly, entered Elizabeth her car holding a bag.
He then pulled out a knife and stabbed her multiple times in the neck.
“The lady managed to jump out of the vehicle and was rescued by good Samaritans. The deceased then set himself on fire in the said vehicle together with her daughter, 2.5 yrs,” police said.
Nevertheless, Elizabeth and her daughter were both rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
The daughter was however transferred to the Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment.
Elizabeth is in a stable whereas the child is said to be in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, Musyoka’s body was moved to the Mama Lucy Hospital morgue as detectives in Kayole investigate the incident.

Similarly, the Police officers recovered a knife and a partly-burnt five litre jerry can alleged to have contained petrol at the scene.
