Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is set to open the portal for 2023 candidates’ registration on Wednesday, February 1.
“Registration will end on March 30. On the KNEC website, access the circular on registration by clicking on the circulars and guidelines icon,” part of the notification reads.
Moreover, the Ministry of Education adjusted the 2023 school calendar, making changes to the duration of the national exams.
Likewise, a circular signed by Early Learning and Basic Education PS Belio Kipsang reads that students will break for half term from March 16 to March 19 as opposed to the initial dates where learners were to break on March 23 and resume on March 26.

“KCPE and KPSEA will begin on November 30 and end on November 2,” the circular reads in part.
According to the circular, the exam will take four days just like the initial calendar. Similarly, students writing KCSE will also sit the exams from November 3 to November 24 whereas marking of KCSE papers will begin on November 27 to December 15.
Nonetheless, in the new schedule the first term will have 13 weeks, the second term 14 weeks and the third term will go for 10 weeks.
As such, students will break for holidays from October 28 to January 8.
