A class 8 pupil at Nkararo Primary School in Narok County slapped a teacher on duty after he was asked to hand over his assignment.
Police in Trans Mara are looking currently looking for the pupil who took off after the incident.
Moreover, Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) secretary in Trans Mara Willy Korir reported that the teacher, known as Charles Miruka who is a person with albinism was slapped in the face.
He allegedly bled and lost his sunglasses during the incident which happened in the presence of other pupils. The teacher received treatment at a local medical facility and was afterwards discharged.
However, the pupil is yet to be found.

Nonetheless, the KNUT secretary has called for the immediate arrest of the suspect who is alleged to be above 18 years of age.
“We are calling upon the police to immediately arrest the suspect. Why is it that when a teacher is wronged no one is taking the matter seriously? We are calling upon the government to give maximum protection to all the teachers in the country,” said Mr. Korir.
