The Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), the country’s largest referral facility, has announced 23 job vacancies targeting highly skilled professionals in specialized medical fields and key support services.
On December 2, KNH advertised the positions, stating that the institution seeks dynamic, highly motivated, innovative, and experienced individuals to fill the vacancies.
Vacancies at Kenyatta National Hospital
KNH is recruiting eight Chief and Medical Specialists in critical areas of patient care.
These include:
- Chief Medical Specialist (Pediatric) – 1 position (Job Group KNH3)
- Chief Medical Specialist (Obstetrics & Gynecology) – 1 position (Job Group KNH3)
- Chief Medical Specialist (Pathology) – 1 position (Job Group KNH3)
- Medical Specialist (Orthopedic Surgery – Hand) – 1 position (Job Group KNH5)
- Medical Specialist (Gastroenterology/Hepatologist) – 1 position (Job Group KNH5)
- Medical Specialist (Plastic Surgery) – 1 position (Job Group KNH5)
- Medical Specialist (Radiology) – 1 position (Job Group KNH5)
- Medical Specialist (Cardiothoracic Surgery) – 1 position (Job Group KNH5)
Clinical and Technical Support Roles
KNH is also hiring for positions that support diagnostic and therapeutic services:
- Assistant Cardiac Technologist – 1 position (Job Group KNH 10)
- Therapy Radiographer – 1 position (Job Group KNH 8)
- Occupational Therapist – 5 positions (Job Group KNH 8)
Psychology, Nutrition, and Health Information
KNH is expanding its mental health and nutrition teams with openings for:
- Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist – 1 position (Job Group 5)
- Senior Principal Nutrition & Dietetics Officer – 1position (Job Group 5)
- Senior Principal Health Information Officer – 3 positions (Job Group 5)
- Senior Principal Nursing Officer – 1 position (Job Group 5)
Administrative and Evaluation Roles
To enhance infrastructure and performance monitoring, KNH seeks:
- Assistant Clerk of Works – 1 position (Job Group KNH 10)
- Chief Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation – 1 position (Job Group KNH 4)

The applications should include certified copies of academic and professional certificates, detailed CVs, and other relevant documents that indicate qualifications, experience, and current responsibilities.
