The Kenya Kwanza Presidential Flag bearer Deputy President William Ruto once again reiterated that there is no bad blood between himself and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga despite their perceived political differences.
The deputy president mentioned that he is willing to have tea with the Azimio leader once the August 9 general elections are done and dusted.
Moreover, while speaking at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday, when Kenya Kwanza presented its final submissions to voters ahead of general elections, DP Ruto restated that he and Raila Odinga are only political rivals who are both yearning to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House.
Likewise, the deputy president stated that having differing political views should not be mistaken for enmity since democracy is not war and it requires a high level of respect between opposing factions.
Nonetheless, Ruto said that if he occupies State House after the polls, his administration would not allow the leader of the opposition party to get actively involved in government affairs; a cheeky statement referencing the March 2018 handshake between President Kenyatta and Odinga.
Similarly the Kenya kwanza presidential candidate fired shots at some of his detractors who ruled him out of the presidential race long before this electioneering period.
He cited that he had made it this far because a higher power wanted him to do so.

Posed the Kenya Kwanza flag bearer.
