Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga on Sunday, July 17 endorsed ODM’s Anthony Oluoch as his choice for the Mathare MP seat.
“Here in Mathare, as Baba I know I have two children in the same race. Do you want me to advice you as Baba? This is what I want…I have Oluoch and Bahati, this is what I decide… I will hold Bahati’s hand,” Raila said as the singer’s supporters chanted in unison.
Raila Oding held Bahati’s hand and said he will give him a job in government if he wins the presidential bid.

“Bahati is my child, I will give him a job in government. Ruaraka MP is TJ Kajwang while Mathare MP is Oluoch,” Raila said.
Moreover, after the announcement, the singer Kevin Bahati, who was standing next to Raila on a car’s sunroof jumped down and disappeared into the crowds.
The Azimio leader’s decision follows efforts to solve the Bahati-Oluoch stalemate at Mathare constituency that has been identified as an ODM zone.
Furthermore, other Azimio officials had also announced Oluoch as the preferred candidate, However, this was met with resistance from Bahati.
Nonetheless, Bahati turned down the job offer from Azimio, swearing to remain in the ballot since as he is the ‘most popular’ aspirant.
Nevertheless, the Azimio rally toured Nairobi city while making crossroads in Mathare, Langata and Embakasi.
Odinga urged his supporters during the rally to embrace the ‘6-piece’ voting, so as to win elective seats right from County to National Government.
