Raila Odinga has given the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) a new ultimatum, saying there will be no election without using the manual register.
The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya presidential aspirant said that failure to use a manual register along with the electronic register will be a plan for rigging votes. He further accused his main political rival DP William Ruto of plotting a vote fraud.
“I am telling the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission that a manual register is a must in each and every polling station,” Odinga said.
Moreover, while speaking on Wednesday, July 6 during Azimio campaigns in Githunguri, Kiambu County, Raila added that the issue of using the manual register alongside the electronic register is non-negotiable. “No manual register, no elections.” He added.
At the same time, Kenya Kwanza presidential flagbearer William Ruto agrees with IEBC and rejects the use of manual register.
“My competitor has sensed defeat and that is why he is now talking of a plot to rig elections; we oppose the use of a manual register.” Ruto said.

In addition, the Azimio leader claims that Ruto and his allies have plans to sneak in pre-marked ballot papers.
“We know what they are up to,” Raila said, “They want to sneak in pre-marked ballot papers in about 10,000 polling stations so as to get some 2 million votes.”
Furthermore, Junet Mohamed also alleged that Kenya Kwanza principles Senator Moses Wetangula is working with the Greek firm responsible for printing ballot papers.
“We know and we have evidence on what they are doing, it will not happen because they want to rig the election through collusion with the ballot paper printing company.” Junet stated.
