Kenya Kwanza presidential flag bearer William Ruto on Sunday, July 24 criticized Raila Odinga for quitting presidential debate.
The deputy president while speaking during a campaign rally in Erera grounds, Kisii County accused the Azimio leader of ducking the much-anticipated debate.
Moreover, Ruto stated that Raila dropped out of the debate because he cannot tell Kenyans why prices of basic commodities went up after the handshake.
“He has feared going for the debate because they have no plan and agenda. They have no policies to sell, that is why they are wondering what they will come to do in the debate. That man who is full of rhetoric lacks clarity on what he wants for Kenyans,” Ruto said.
Similarly, the Kenya Kwanza camp made it to Kapkatet grounds in Kericho on Sunday, where the deputy president’s allies continued their attack against the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya presidential candidate.
Nonetheless, Moses Wetangula noted that P Ruto will use the opportunity in Odinga’s absence to rally support for the Kenya Kwanza manifesto.
Moreover, Wtangula stated that Ruto will not debate the other two presidential aspirants. That is Roots Party’s Wajackoyah and Agano Party’s Mwaure, who are set for the first round of the debate on Tuesday.
“Ruto will go for the debate but not with watu wa bhang, he will use the 90 minutes of the debate to display KK manifesto,” Wetangula said.
Likewise, Kenya Kwanza camp commented on the issue between IEBC and the DCI concerning the Venezuelans who were arrested last week at JKIA with election stickers.

Furthermore, William Ruto accused DCI boss George Kinoti, of playing politics. Adding that Kinoti is incompetent and is being used to advance a political agenda.
“Huyo Kinoti hakuna kazi anafanya hii Kenya, anendesha tu makesi za kisiasa, yeye ni mtu ya sinema, anaendesha kesi kwa gazeti, anatuandikia barua sijui kilomita ngapi,” the DP stated.
“Mr. Kinoti please, save your time and stop writing letters, leave matters of election to the IEBC, you have no business in IEBC,” Ruto added.
Kenya Kwanza’s uproar came following the statement by Odinga’s secretariat. The statement said Raila would be skipping the Tuesday debate beacause joining DP Ruto on stage would be “a bad idea”. He termed Ruto as a leader who “will do and say anything” to seek power.
