The long-awaited list of the shortlisted candidates for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS). The public service commission (PSC) has shortlisted 224 candidates, selected from over five thousand applications that were submitted.
Out of the applicants consisting of people from different professions, ‘poll losers’, from the 2022 elections, four journalists made the cut, and they will be proceeding to the next phase, interviews.
1)Bonnie Musambi-The former KBC presenter was elated to be among the nominees list, and he took to his twitter to thank God in a tweet captioned “Psalms 113! May the name of the Lord be Praised for finding me worthy to be shortlisted for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary- CAS (number 32). The whole of me is yearning for service to this nation and H.E President William Samoei Ruto. May God’s will be done.

2)Mwanaisha Chidzuga– the vibrant Mwanaisha is Kenyan journalist who in the past has worked for BBC, KTN ,Pwani FM and K24.She unsuccessfully vied for the Matuga Constituency Parliamentary seat in the 2022 elections. Her fans and followers took to social media to congratulate her and wish her well in the upcoming interviews.
3)Linda Oguttu – The former KTN news anchor and talk show host Ms. Ogutu left KTN in 2021 to serve as the head of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Secretariat. Upon learning of her shortlisting, the curvaceous Tv girl urged Kenyans to pray for her through her official twitter handle in a tweet captioned “Mkiamka kesho mtapatana na hii list. Naomba tupendane kama wakenya. Tafathali naomba muamke, mkunywe chai na mniombee. Maisha ni kuombeana please. Where is my friend Ahmednasir?” she said in a post on Twitter. Her fans assured her of their spiritual support and wished her all the best.
4)Dennis Itumbi-Dennis Itumbi is a Kenyan political strategy consultant and digital journalist. He has not yet made a comment regarding his short listing, but his followers are congratulating, anticipating his appointment due to his loyalty and closeness with the president, His Excellency William Samoei Ruto.
