It was an emotional moment at a Lebanese Airport as a native family in the country found it difficult to say goodbye to a Kenyan nanny.
In videos shared on Tik Tok and YouTube, Maria and Cataleya- a Lebanese couple who had hosted the Kenyan nanny named Rossie for years posted videos of her family bidding goodbye.
The children, including two young twins, held on to Rossie and bitterly broke into tears as she attempted to leave.Â
Further, the kids cried while the father tried to calm them down.
Moved by the children’s and family’s love shown to her, Rossie eyes turned watery and for some time appeared torn between her decision to leave or spend more time with two young girls.Â
In the video, the children’s father repeatedly thanked Rossie for her dedication to taking care of their children and for having been like a family to them.
Family pleads with Kenyan lady to comeback
He then went on to plead with the nanny to come back to them, even if it meant coming back with her children to the Middle East nation.
Rossie, eventually broke down in tears, creating a somber mood even for the viewers who watched on social media.

“Thank you so much, you are great person you are one of our family,” the husband said in the video.Â

“You will come back come back if you can. We can’t survive without you. Bring your kids if you have kids.”
The video then went viral on the family’s handles with users commenting, with one of the Tik Tok videos hitting 7 million likes in 10 hours.Â
Rosie’s employers also shared a video taken a month ago when they threw a party for her during her birthday.
Kenyans react to Rosie and the family’s relationship
In the comments section, users who viewed the videos shared their thoughts on the relationship between Rosie and her employers.
“Thank you, Rosie, for making the continent proud greet your family,” a Tik Tok user commented.

Kenyans also commented on the video with Radio presenter and comedian MCA Tricky stating, “Humanity at its best, God bless her.”
“The baby girl feeding her it’s the bond for me in this life be kind, humanity is everything,” an Instagram user named Skylegreey stated.
Kenya has for years been an exporter of labour to countries abroad especially in the Middle East.
However, the jobs have not been without a negative side, with several cases of Kenyan girls and women ending up in distress having been reported.
