Football and sports enthusiast Fred Arocho has for the first time shared the genesis of his radio career.
Fred Arocho, a revered football commentator said football saved his life and changed it for the better.
The media personality disclosed that football and his undying love for it opened many doors for him, including connecting his to his current job at Radio Jambo.
Arocho, during an interview with 2Mbili on his show Celeb Ride noted that he would have become a thief or even dead were it not for his love for football.
“Mimi kama Sio ball, ningekuwa dingoo ama hata nimededi,” Fred Arocho said.
The father of three went on to state that everything he has in life today is as a result of football.
“Everything I have today came from football. The radio job, the businesses I have started and even have traveled the whole world thanks to football. My son even secured a four-year full scholarship in the US because of football. The guys will spend KSh 16 million on him and all that is because of football,” Fred Arocho added.

The veteran could not wrap up without advising young people to chase their dreams and believe in themselves.
He even used himself as an example, holding no one knew he would one time be on radio.
He also encouraged parents to always spot and nurture their children’s talents.
Arocho insisted education very important but sometimes talent outshines it.
