The Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja has stepped in to help comedian mimicking deputy president Gachagua with clearing his fees arrears.
Comedian Zakaria Waithira, also known as Mr. KK MKwenyewe had gone public saying he risked differing his studies if he does not clear the fee balance, he owed Kisii University.
“Hello, my friends and my fans, despite being a content creator, and comedian I’m also a student at Kisii university and in my 3rd year, facing fees challenges. We’ve been pushed to the corner by the school administration that we either pay 100 per cent of the fees by 30th October or we differ,”
“My parents have nowhere to get this money and I hereby ask people to help me contribute Sh10,900 so I can complete my fees to avoid deferment of my studies.” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Zakaria went on to update his fans on the development since his appeal for help, thanking everyone that had come through for him, singling out Governor Sakaja who had cleared the fee balance.
He even committed himself to keep on entertaining his fans for the kind gesture they had shown him.
“My people and my fans, I’m a grateful man today! After I posted my issue of fees many of you came on to offer help nawashukuru sana wote (I am very grateful),” he wrote on Instagram.
“@jsakaja asante kwa kulipa my fee may god bless you. Mimi kitu naeza fanya tuu kuwashukuru tuu ni wafurahishe na content asanteni sana (Governor Sakaja, thanks for paying my fees… What I can only do for you all is to entertain you with more content. Thanks a lot),” he added.
