Senator Hezena Lemaletian, also known as Queen of the North, has stirred a new conversation online following her public clarification on cancelled marriage plans.
After officially addressing media allegations surrounding her marital status, she evoked mixed reactions as suitors wanted to know what it takes to win her heart.
Due to continuous malicious media attacks, she stated that she was forced to make it official since it was becoming too much for her despite her silence on the issue.
“I have been necessitated to make this official communication following continuous malicious media attacks on me despite my silence and respect to both families,” she says.

Senator Hezena deeply regrated the earlier posting that someone had asked for her hand in marriage, as it was an ambush.
Why Senator Hezena returned her dowry
She explained that, according to Samburu culture, there was a need to conduct a thorough background check before marriage.
“The due procedure of the Samburu culture is that a background check must be conducted before marriage. And so it was, and thoroughly,” she confirmed.
After a thorough background check, the family elders halted the whole process and rejected the offered dowry, including the return of the Ksh100,000 that the elders had received at the meeting.
Lemaletian trashed reports that she was married insisting that she was not going to be married to that person whatsoever.

She strongly stated that she respected the decisions of the elderly and held them in very high regard, as she requested for total privacy moving forward on the matter.
“Anything else that will slander my name out of failure to accept these decisions and move on will be handled legally,” she further states.
Public reactions on Lemaletians’ post
Many netizens were amazed at Senator Lemaletian’s set standards and even admired her stand.
“I love the way you hold the dignity of our culture, our next queen after the kingpin,” affirmed Ole Memusi Peter.
“Detail me, Honourable, what are the key threshold grounds one needs to meet up so that he can win you then, “inquired Hillary Kipkemboi Chirchir.
Who can qualify to win her heart
In response to Kipkemboi’s inquiry, Senator Hezena specified that the ‘lucky guy’ needed to be decent and with no childhood traumas.
She also added in her description that she needed a respectful man who respects people and their private lives.
“Just be a decent human being without your childhood traumas and respect people and their private lives the same way people respect yours no matter what,” she confirmed.
