Popular Mombasa musician Dogo Richie has for the first time dispelled claims that witchdoctors can help musicians to become famous.
Dogo Richie vehemently denied that witch doctors can help people become successful, holding that they are just there to scam people.
The musician, currently riding high with Sheshe disclosed that musicians who visit witchdoctors nowadays are just being conned and cannot be made popular by the aforementioned.
Speaking during a radio interview with Mwende Macharia and Clemmo 254, Dogo Richie confessed to having visited a witch doctor while starting out his music career but said they did not help him as he had anticipated.
The star held that people who went for witch doctors’ services a long time ago were successful but nowadays most artists are just conned by people purporting to be witch doctors.

”Honestly, I believe witchcraft in music existed but a long time ago. Nowadays am sure even the people who used to practice it are dead. Nowadays I don’t believe it still exists anymore. Those calling themselves witch doctors nowadays are just cons, the real ones existed a while ago. I will be honest, a long time ago I used to visit witch doctors but I can say they don’t help people they just eat your money.”Dogo Richie revealed.
He also used the chance to advise musicians and other people to desist from or even think about going to witch doctors for fame and money.

”People should not go to witch doctors they will be conned. Let them just believe in God. Personally, I pray a lot nowadays and I have seen the results.”Dogo Richie added.
Just a week ago, yet another Mombasa-based artist Chikuzee received Jesus Christ as the saviour of his life.
Chikuzee, just like Dogo Richie was rumoured to be the biggest customer at different witch doctors, allegations he has incessantly refuted.
