The Co-operative Bank, in a notice dated November 12, informed the public of a four-day traffic disruption along Haile Selassie, from Thursday, November 13.
In the notice, Co-op Bank warned motorists that the disruptions will specifically affect the Haile Selassie Avenue service lane due to the planned lifting and placement of heavy equipment at the Co-operative Bank House building.
“Co-op Bank will be lifting & placing some heavy equipment on our Co-operative Bank House building. Due to this, there will be traffic disruption along the service lane on Haile Selassie Avenue,” read part of the Co-operative Bank notice.
This activity is expected to cause traffic disruptions along the service lane outside the Central Bank of Kenya and the Kenya Revenue Authority headquarters.
Days Affected by the Co-operative Bank Disruptions
The lifting, according to the notice, will occur in the following days and times:
- Thursday, 13th November: 7.00 pm – 6.00 am
- Friday, 14th November: 5.00 pm – 10.00 pm
- Saturday, 15th November: 6.00 am – 6.00 pm
- Sunday, 16th November: 6.00 am – 6.00 pm
Additionally, the Co-operative Bank assured that services at its Co-operative Bank House branch will remain unaffected during this period.
“Co-op House Bank Branch will operate as per the usual banking hours,” their statement read in part.

The bank apologised for any inconvenience caused and urged the public to plan accordingly.
KeNHA Announces Closure of Thika Road Section from November 15 to 16, 2025
Earlier, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) issued a notice on October 31, warning motorists of temporary traffic disruptions along the Thika Superhighway (A2).
KeNHA, in a notice, announced the closure of a section of the busy highway at Juja Highpoint (Centurion) to allow for road maintenance works.
According to the authority, the affected section will be partially closed to facilitate milling and recarpeting of the carriageway.

According to the authority, the affected section will be partially closed to facilitate milling and recarpeting of the carriageway.
The closure was scheduled to take place on two weekends from Saturday, November 8, 2025, to Sunday, November 9, 2025, between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and again from Saturday, November 15, 2025, to Sunday, November 16, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
During this period, both Nairobi-bound and Thika-bound traffic will be diverted to the adjacent service lanes and then rejoin the main highway.
KeNHA has urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to the proposed traffic management plan, as well as to follow instructions from police and traffic marshals stationed at the site.
