The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced new job opportunities within the institution. In a notice dated Tuesday, December 9, the Authority called on qualified candidates to apply.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), a State Corporation under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, was established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, and is mandated to manage, develop, rehabilitate, and maintain national trunk roads. The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions on permanent and pensionable terms of service,” the notice read.
KeNHA Announces Job Opportunities
Among the advertised positions are 10 driver vacancies, open to applicants with a minimum KCSE Grade D.
The drivers will be responsible for providing driving services, ensuring the safe and timely movement of staff and authorized goods, and overseeing the maintenance of assigned vehicles, in line with the Traffic Act.

Other than a minimum of KCSE Grade requirement, applicants must have:
- A valid driving licence free from any current endorsements for the class(es) of vehicles to be driven.
- A First Aid Certificate from St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or any other recognized institution.
- A Certificate of Suitability Test for Drivers from the ministry responsible for transport.
- A valid Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service.
- At least two years of driving experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Another role requiring a KCSE Grade D is the Office Assistant position, for which one vacancy has been advertised.
The Office Assistant will provide general office support services, including office cleanliness, mail delivery, and serving refreshments.
Office Assistant Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A cumulative service period of six years, with at least three years as Office Assistant II or a comparable position;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
KeNHA has also advertised several other positions, including:
- Engineer (Roads) – Grade 7 (27 Posts)
- Information Communication Technology (ICT) Officer II – Grade 8 (2 Posts)
- Human Resources Management Officer II – Grade 8 (1 Post)

Interested candidates should download and complete the KeNHA job application form from the Authority’s website and attach copies of their National ID, CV, academic and professional certificates, and testimonials.

Applications, clearly quoting the reference number, should be hand-delivered and placed in the recruitment box located on the 2nd Floor, outside the Human Resource Management Department.

KeNHA stated that applications must be received by 5:00 pm on December 29, 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to interviews, and canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.
Shortlisted candidates will also be required to meet the Leadership and Integrity requirements under Chapter Six of the Constitution and present the following documents during the interview:
- EACC Clearance Certificate
- KRA Tax Compliance Certificate
- HELB Clearance or proof of ongoing loan repayment
- Certificate of Good Conduct
- CRB Clearance Certificate
These documents will not be required at the application stage.
