The National Museums of Kenya (NMK) has announced a 30-day window for the expiry of tickets purchased before the successful implementation of a new and upgraded admission system.
The state corporation that was established by an Act of Parliament to preserve Kenya’s heritage has gone the digital and adopted eCitizen services for all payments
“The new system takes effect immediately, and any previously purchased tickets must be used within 30 days from the date of this notice. Tickets to the above-listed sites can be accessed through:nmkpay.ecitizen.go.ke,” read part of the directive public notice.
NMK sites have already transitioned
The corporation has also indicated that some of the sites have already adopted the changes, and henceforth, no manual applications or transactions will be handled, but tickets for these locations should be purchased online.
The sites include Nairobi National Museum, Karen Blixen Museum, Fort Jesus National Monument, Nairobi Gallery, Malindi Museum, and Gedi National Monument.

All remaining NMK stations that have not been listed as implemented in the new system will migrate to the same system later, in phases.
“All other stations will be onboarded to the new system gradually,” clarified the notice
