Several people got injured and one motorist died in a road accident that occurred at the Nairobi Expressway, Mlolongo toll station, on Saturday, June 25 night.
Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) while confirming the accident reported that the 10 pm incident was caused by a vehicle driven at a high speed when exiting the expressway.

“The motorist crashed into the Toll Plaza and ran over other vehicles that were being cleared to exit. Consequently, the vehicle knocked one toll booth and injured one toll attendant besides the other motorists,” KeNHA statement reads.
Moreover, those injured in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals, and are said to be responding well to treatment.
In addition, the exit booth affected exit has been closed. Likewise, KeNHA advised motorists to avoid over speeding and be cautious while on the expressway.
Furthermore, the agency assured Kenyans that they are putting up measures to prevent a reoccurrence of such unfortunate incidents.
