Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance running mate selection panel has pushed the unveiling of its report on the three shortlisted candidates for the outfit’s running mate post to Thursday.
The committee said moving the unveiling to Thursday was due to the absence of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga who is currently in Malindi.
Azimio running mate Panel chairperson Noah Wekesa reported that Mr. Odinga will be available on Thursday to receive the report.
The selection committee was expected to submit the top three candidates to Azimio presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta who will then vet and pick one successful candidate.
The panel on May 9 and May 10 interviewed the following candidates; Narc Kenya boss Martha Karua, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Lee Kinyajui (Nakuru) and Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Muranga County Woman Rep Sabina Chege, former Kenyan Ambassador to Australia Stephen Tarus and Agriculture CS Peter Munya.
