Police in Homa Bay County have launched investigations into a robbery incident where unknown criminals broke into the Oyugis Law Courts registry and stole computers.
According to a police report, computers worth Ksh 300,000 were stolen under unclear circumstances.
The court administrator Isaac Owuor Ochola left his workstation on Thursday evening with all offices locked, leaving three guards behind.
When he reported back to work the following morning, he noticed that a desktop had been left on the court corridors.
He later discovered that someone had forcefully gained access to them and made way with a desktop and monitor at a registry.

Other offices, including the criminal registry as well as the cash office had their monitors missing.
Homa Bay County Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Commander Abed Kavoo said police officers had since visited the scene and launched a probe.
Kavoo said they have established that the criminals got access to the court premises by cutting a barbed wire on the rear side of the building.
The value of the stolen items is estimated to be around Ksh.300,000.
The DCI boss said the three security guards who were on duty at the time of the incident have been detained assisting police with investigation.
