A 29-yr-old woman has been reported dead, after she committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of a building in Kasarani, Nairobi.
Brenda Kawira Gitonga had quarreled with her boyfriend the previous night in one of the apartment rooms where they stayed as reported by the Neighbours.
The boyfriend told police they had an argument before the woman walked out of their bedroom to the balcony.
After a while, he said, he heard a loud thud and when he went to check her in the sitting room, kitchen, and other rooms she was nowhere to be seen.
The boyfriend further stated that he saw her body sprawled on the ground floor upon looking for her.
The Neighbours rushed Kawira to Uzima hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival with visible injuries and bruises on her right thigh, left neck, left cheek and lower limb.

The body was moved to the mortuary as the police continue their investigation into the incident.
Cases of suicide have been on the rise. Police say they receive up to four cases daily in a worrying trend amid calls to arrest the same.
Suicide is a leading cause of death nowadays, officials say.
The World Health Organization says such cases are attributed to joblessness, death, academic failures or pressures, legal difficulties, and financial difficulties.
