Deputy President William has said that he is optimistic that the August General Election will be peaceful.
Speaking during the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, DP Ruto said he will lead his Kenya Kwanza team in ensuring that the electioneering process is peaceful.
He said an election should not be a matter of life and death and should be considered as an opportunity for Kenyans to choose their leaders.
At the same time, he challenged his main competitor and Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga to commit to peaceful elections.
Mr Odinga did not attend the event.
