Former P-Unit member and rapper Francis Amisi popularly known as Frasha is quitting music after 23 years in the industry. He made the communication through his Instagram, stating that it was time to venture into different endeavors.
His last performance is set for Thursday, 23rd February at Kentwood Address, Kiambu Road. The number 23, which he described as magical, is incredibly significant in his life. He invited his fans to join him as he celebrates his birthday and exits the industry in style.
“23 is a magical number for me, 2023 is a magical year for me and 23rd is when I bid the game goodbye officially. Thursday 23rd, 2023 will be my last public show and also my birthday party. Come join me as give the last bow and celebrate my musical career,” he wrote.

Frasha, a physiotherapist by profession worked at Aga Khan Hospital until 2011 when he quit to focus on his music career. Together with his friends, Gabu, Nonini, Bon-eye they released a couple of hit songs including Kare, You Guy, Hapa Kule, Weka Weka among others.
The veteran musician has always been at the forefront in fighting for musicians’ rights and advocating for better in the industry. When asked why he stopped producing music in an interview 4 years ago, he cited frustrations in the industry, and that artists work extra hard and still don’t reap from their sweat. He pulled down his music from streaming platforms, but his songs are still played in clubs.
