The Government has re-deployed its communication officers to new station in departments and ministries following an order by President Ruto.
The Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy in a letter, said that the reorganization is meant to fill unoccupied positions.
Recently, the Government issued a Presidential Executive Order No. 1 of 2023, calling for re-organization of departments, and agencies.
“The recently issued Presidential Executive Order No. 1 of 2023, re-organized government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), some of which do not have officers in their Public Communications Departments,” the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Edward Kisiang’ani said.
“This has necessitated re-deployment of officers to ensure that all MDAs are adequately served,” Kisiang’ani added.

The principal secretary has reshuffled a total of 47 officials to new stations.
Ministries and departments that were targeted include the National Treasury, Ministry of Defense, National Police Service, State Department for Mining, and State Department for Basic Education.
Others are the State Department for Foreign Affairs, State Department of Energy, State Department of Tourism, among others.
Some of the officer who have been redeployed to new station include Joseph Njagi Kariuki who has been posted at the State House Nairobi from the Ministry of Information, Irene Akao Agum from the State Law to Office of Deputy President, among others.
