While speaking during a meeting at their Karen residence on Friday, May 6, Deputy President William Ruto’s wife, Rachel Ruto, revealed how their dirty borehole water miraculously turned clean.
According to the DP’s wife, the borehole water had been dirty and unfit for consumption for several years. As a result, they were forced to buy and install expensive water purifying machines to allow them to use the water for domestic purposes.
“My husband, the Deputy President, went into a venture and bought very expensive purifying machines. That is what we have been doing, purifying the water,” Rachel stated.
Rachel mentioned that the purification process had become a routine in her home since the borehole was drilled in 2003. However, the purifying machines began experiencing rampant mechanical problems and required filter changes regularly.
The deputy president’s wife added that the purifying machines broke down again last week, and that is when she decided to pray for the water to make it pure, and her prayers miraculously worked.
“I kept wondering and saying, supposing I go pray for this water, is it possible to be purified?” “Am I worthy of going and doing what Elisha did just to pray for this water?” she posed.
She narrated that when she visited her Karen home on Wednesday last week, the Lord reminded her about the water. So she walked to her kitchen, took a bowl of water, added salt to it, then proceeded to the borehole where she decreed the words of Elisha in the bible.
Rachel referred to the Bible verse 2 Kings 2:19, where the prophet Elisha purified unclean water. “I said, ‘this water will never be dirty again, and I spread the salty water around the borehole and ran back into the house as it was about to rain.” Recalled Mrs. Ruto.
Mrs. Ruto said she left the residence, and upon returning on Friday last week, she detected a change in the water. When she asked her son Shadrack about what happened to the water, he said he did not know.
“The water is now clean. Amen!” “And we started giving God thanks,” Rachel said.
