President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed Cabinet secretaries to complete the issuance of 1 million title deeds in the next three weeks.
Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, said all Cabinet Secretaries will oversee the distribution of a million titles by July 20th.
This is out of 6 million titles processed during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure
Accordingly, Kinyua listed a schedule of the counties allocated to individual CSs together with the summary of the title to be issued.
Consequently, ministries are required to liaise with Regional Commissioners to organise meetings for issuance and file returns by July 21.
Siaya county will receive most titles at 150,652, followed by Meru with 106,893 and Machakos 92,606.
“ In this regard it is directed that the issuance of title be concluded on or before 20th July 2022”.
Cabinet Secretaries Najib Balala, Farida Karoney and Amina Mohamed will oversee the exercise in the Coast region.
Western Kenya region will be overseen by Eugene Wamalwa and George Magoha
Monica Juma, Fred Matiang’i, Margaret Kobia and Peter Munya will be in Eastern.
In Central region,Joe Mucheru, James Macharia and Mutahi Kagwe will oversee the exercise.
Keriako Tobiko, Betty Maina and Simon Chelugui will be in charge of Rift Valley.
President Uhuru kicked off the latest phase of the national title deeds issuance programme last week.
