Reuben Wahome Kabera, the Member of the County Assembly of Karima ward is dead.
The MCA’s demise was confirmed on Monday, May 30 morning by Nyeri County Assembly speaker John Kaguchia.
The Nyeri County Assembly speaker eulogized Wahome as a progressive legislature whose transformative leadership will be missed sincerely by residents of Karima Ward.
Likewise, Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga through a Facebook post sent his condolences to the Nyeri speaker, the county assembly, his wife, children, family and the people of Karima. He further described Kabera as a jovial and an outgoing person who ‘carried the needs and aspirations of the Karima people at heart’.
“I have truly lost a friend and great supporter. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Governor Kahiga wrote.
Mr Kabera died of an undisclosed illness at the Mt Kenya Hospital where he had been receiving treatment for the past two weeks.
