Kenya National Highways Authority has announced a 12-hour closure of a section of lang’ata road on Sunday September 25.
The section of the road to be closed is near T-Mall, where a footbridge will be installed.
“We wish to notify the public that a section of Langata Road, along the service lane (Nyayo bound lane) between T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout will experience traffic disruptions.
“This follows the planned closure of the road to pave way for the erection of the T-Mall River Footbridge. The installation of the footbridge is to ensure a continuous pedestrian walkway,” read part of the KENHA’s notice.
KENHA gave the directive prior to enabling motorists to plan their routes for Sunday.
The notice also advised motorists on alternative roads or routes to use and traffic police set to man the road in case of snarl-ups or congestion.
