Matatu Owners Association Chairman Kisumu chapter Bob Andala stated that the re-routing earlier done by the county government was for the Africities conference.
The association is against the move by the county government to ban operators from reverting to their normal routes after the summit.
Initially motorists using Jomo Kenyatta Highway were terminating at Angawa Avenue
During the Africities conference, motorists were banned from using the street and directed to terminate at u Partel’s Flat.
