Schools are set to close tomorrow to pave way for elections three days after.
Students will take a two week break
Most schools are used as polling centres by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC).
Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha says learning will resume after the announcement of the elections results.
“We are breaking again on the 6th of the month, and we will not open again until the 10th,” CS Magoha said
In the case of an election re-run, Magoha said the government will review the dates for the national exams.
“We may have to sit down and see whether it will be fair to examine the children if they will have lost a considerable amount of time, I pray it does not happen, ,” the CS added.
At the same time, Magoha said no politicians will be allowed to launch projects in schools for the remaining time
“We do not want politics in schools because the students have a very short term and it is only fair that they are left alone,” he added.
“There should be no political activities, in fact, If I see any political van here, I will tell the police to tow them.”
