Umoja One Member of County Assembly (MCA) Mark Mugambi now claims that his life is in danger after allegedly being attacked by goons at City Hall on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Speaking in his office, Mugambi said the attackers timed him as he made his way into the office.
He blamed the attack on his fallout with the City County boss Johnson Sakaja.
In the recent past, Mugambi has been critical of Sakaja’s style of leadership and even accused him of going to bed with the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
“I am quite disturbed that they have sent goons to attack me. Gaucho and Baraka planned my attack this morning. They tore my t-shirt and grabbed my watch,” said Mugambi .
Mugambi claimed that he received an alert from Minority Leader Anthony Kiragu warning him on plans to attack him.

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, a section of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) MCAs differed with their colleagues and pledged support for Sakaja
“We want to assure Nairobians and UDA supporters that we are in a good working relationship with the governor,” Kayole Central MCA Jeremiah Themendu stated.
On Tuesday, Kiragu and Mugambi alleged that Sakaja funded the Azimio rally that was held at Kamukunji grounds.
