Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa is demanding an examination retake by pupils of Moi DEB Primary School in Bungoma county.
The school, popularly known as The Commonwealth recorded unusually poor performance during the recently released KCPE results.
Barasa in a statement gave Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu an ultimatum of 14 days to order the retake claiming failure to which he will head to court.
“I have asked CS Education My good friend @machoguezekiel to order Re-Examination of the KCPE exams for the pupils of Moi DEB Primary School in Bungoma, commonly known as The Commonwealth.
“If this will not happen in the next 14 days, I will move to court,” the MP wrote.

The MP questioned why no adult has been held accountable and only pupils have been left to suffer over their alleged cheating during the KCPE national exam.
“Examination cheating must be proven beyond reasonable doubt and not through one’s conscience and/or imagination.
“The definition of ignorance is where pupils are punished and no adult in the name of invigilators is prosecuted.
“Every counterpart must be brought to book na sio tafadhali,” he added.
The school’s headteacher was spotted crying after the release of KCPE results which he rejected.
The headteacher noted that his pupils were well prepared to seat for the national test adding that both teachers and parents were confident that they will do well.
“We could have been celebrating but it has become a different day that we can’t even explain. We waited for our student’s results.
“You as parents, we as teachers know, and our students know; this year we knew we would produce top students and all of them knew that the top student could be him or her,” he claimed.
