National Assembly Minority Leader MP John Mbadi was on Monday involved in an accident along the Bondo-Kisumu Road
The outgoing Suba South MP had attended the manifesto launch of the Siaya ODM gubernatorial candidate Senator James Orengo before the accident.
Luckily all occupants of the vehicle came out unhurt.
“Thanks, everyone for your concerns. While it was grisly, I am happy to report that my crew and I left the scene unhurt and we thank God the Almighty,” Mbadi posted on Facebook
Mbadi who dropped his bid for the Homa Bay gubernatorial race has been spearheading ODM campaigns in Nyanza region.
The MP is leading campaigns to counter an emerging onslaught of independent candidates in the region
There was a huge fallout in the orange party following shoddy nominations and direct ticketing during primaries.
The fallout saw a number of candidates dump the party for others while others decided to vie as independents.
Two weeks ago,ODM leader Raila Odinga camped in the region to calm tensions
He called on Nyanza residents to give him lieutenants by voting in ODM candidates
Mbadi is among those who are scheduled to secure nomination slots to the National Assembly and Senate through party lists.
