Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is inviting Western Kenya leaders allied to the Azimio Coalition to work with President William Ruto’s administration.
Mudavadi argues that the region will reap maximum benefits from the government should all leaders rally behind President Ruto.
He wants Western Kenya leaders to support Ruto in his bid to rebuild the economy and unite the country.
Citing the example of Cotu boss Francis Atwoli, Mudavadi urged other opposition leaders to shift to their side.

According to Mudavadi, there is need for the region to unite behind him and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula so as to gain from the community’s strength.
He spoke during the 43rd Maragoli Cultural Festival at Municipal Grounds in Mbale, Vihiga County.
“We don’t hold grudges and we are ready to hold each others’ hands. We don’t want to leave anyone behind,” said Mudavadi.
He added: “Atwoli is now with us. There is no time left and our door is open. Let’s forget the past as we move forward.”
“I am reaching out to our leaders in opposition because we have only one government and politics is now behind us,” he said.
Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo (ODM) said they have accepted that Azimio was defeated at the ballot.
“We were defeated and we will work together.”
MPs Didmus Barasa(Kimilili), Dick Maungu (Luanda), Fred Ikana (Shinyalu), Omboko Milemba (Emuhaya), Clement Sloya (Sabatia) and Beatrice Adagala (Vihiga County) were present.
