Governors and their Deputies are expected to start a weeklong induction summit in Mombasa on Thursday, September 15.
The inaugural meeting will be officially opened by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Moreover, the summit will be the first time the county bosses are meeting following the August 9 general election.
Likewise, the August polls saw 28 new Governors elected to the office while 8 pioneer Governors made a comeback as 11 were re-elected.
The Council of Governors (CoG) also stated that the development of the induction started in 2021 and has been a widely consultative process aimed at creating a wholesome and all-inclusive programme.
Furthermore, during the induction period, the Governors are expected to have their first Council meeting.
Likewise, the governors will elect their new leadership during their first council meeting, after which they will also hold the first summit meeting.
Nevertheless, the county heads will tackle a wide range of issues touching on the intergovernmental relations between the National and County governments during the high-level conference.
