Interior Cabinet Secretary nominee Kithure Kindiki has promised to do everything possible to deal with banditry and terrorists.
“I assure Kenyans that I will make whatever sacrifices that need to be made, I will stay focused until the banditry problem is over. Even if it means going to live in the North Rift,” Kindiki stated.
Kindiki Kithure appeared before the National Assembly Appointment’s committee on Tuesday, October 18.
In addition, the Interior Cabinet Secretary Nominee stated that his very first assignment will be to ensure Kenya is set free from criminals, bandits, cattle rustlers, and terrorists.
“We will speak less because security does not require speaking,” he added.
Moreover, if the vetting committee approves him, Kindiki vowed to deal with criminals without fear or favor, adding that his office will respect human rights.
Kindiki further affirmed that he will not spare any politician who will be involved in crime.
“We will respect human rights, but criminals have to be faced like criminals’ period! Crimes have no ethnicity and are not political. “A politician who has committed a crime is a criminal, a lawyer who is committing a crime is a criminal and so is a doctor,” Kindiki added.
