Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has stated that President William Ruto’s regime must fight to recover funds stolen in the last government first.
According to Ahmednasir, failure to recover the stolen funds will lead to massive looting in the new regime.
“Monday is the first week of H. E Ruto’s Cabinet and I state for the record: To stop looting of public funds by his Ministers/others (I.e Governors) Ruto must recover every penny stolen by Uhuru’s Ministers/others (I.e Governor). If he doesn’t, we will see looting on an industrial scale,” Ahmednasir said in a statement on Sunday.
Moreover, these sentiments from Ahmednasir follow the just concluded appointment, vetting and swearing-in of the Cabinet Secretaries.
Likewise, the vetting process saw the new Cabinet Secretaries declare their wealth and the source of their wealth.
