Gospel entertainer and politician Kelvin Kioko Bahati, popularly known as ‘Bahati,’ has ditched the Jubilee party and joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
In the 2022 general elections, Bahati ran unsuccessfully for the Mathare MP seat on a Jubilee ticket.
“Prodigal son, happy to be back home,” the singer captioned several photos after meeting top UDA leadership on Wednesday.
Bahati was received and welcomed by the UDA party Secretary General Cleopas Malala, and other leaders at the UDA Headquarters.
“Bahati mtoto wa mama has officially defected from the Jubilee party and now he is officially a member of the UDA,” Malala said.
According to Bahati, President Ruto has created a conducive environment for the youth in Kenya to thrive.

Bahati was accompanied by his wife Diana Bahati, MC Jessy, KRG the Don, DK Kwenye Beat, Sammy Boy, Dufla and Rufftone among others.
Malala also welcomed the other artistes as he assured the youth of unwavering support in the music industry to enable them to earn a living.
“UDA has its doors open to Kenyan youths from all walks of life, and pledges to walk its talk on matters youth empowerment in the country. We assure the youths of our unwavering support in the industry to enable them to earn a living from it,” he said.
