The National Council of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) has urged the President-elect William Ruto to reach out to the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
While addressing the press on Tuesday, August 16, the council’s chairperson Stephen Cheboi stressed on the need for the three leaders to reason together for the good of the country.
“What we have witnessed from previous elections is that there is a need for us as a nation to work together, especially the leaders, we must tolerate one another, we must embrace one another. In any competition there has to be a winner and a loser so in this case we need to accept the winner as per the results,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kenyans are waiting for the next step by the Azimio Party who have not yet confirmed their exact next move.
Moreover, the Kenya Kwanza team and its supporters across the country celebrate their victory. The president-elect William Ruto has promised to serve all Kenyans equally regardless of how they voted.
Furthermore, William Ruto was declared the winner in the just concluded presidential election on Monday, August 15 at the Bomas of Kenya.

The Azimio outfit alleged that there was rigging. Likewise, the Independent and Electoral Commission officials split rising questions in the just concluded presidential polls.
Nonetheless, as tensions flared up after Odinga was defeated, the president-elect issued a conciliatory message, vowing to work with all leaders.
