President William Ruto is expected to deliver Kenya’s National Statement at the United Nation’s General Assembly in New York City at 9pm on Wednesday September 21
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday had revealed that the President will hold bilateral talks with several heads of state and government.
“Participation at the highest level in the UNGA is particularly important for Kenya as the country seeks to complete the second year of its non-permanent membership to the United Nations Security Council,” read a statement from the ministry.
The statement also noted that the head of state will also chair a meeting of the Conference of African Heads of State on Climate Crisis (CAHOSCC)
Ruto is also expected to meet with senior representatives of the American Businesses to enhance trade between the two countries.
“The Head of State will also attend to a working session with senior representatives of the American businesses during which he will urge for increased trade and investment between the two countries.”
President Ruto is currently out of the Country, where he travelled to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s burial ceremony.
