Roots Party has summoned Justina Wamae, to a disciplinary hearing for misrepresenting the party.
Justina who was George Wajackoyah’s running mate in the just concluded polls is accused of making contradictory and malicious statements about the party both in the mainstream media and social media.
According to a statement written by Roots Party legal director Washika Wachira, the first incident was on August 3 when Justina publicly claimed that Wajackoyah endorsed Raila Odinga’s candidature.
Moreover, Wachira cited 19th August, where Justina is accused of acknowledging their competitor’s victory, after she publicly congratulated the President-elect William Ruto.
Likewise, she attacked Roots party stating that; “Saying that votes were stolen is simply preposterous when I see some parties like Roots Party, who as a member I can confidently say we were disorganized in regards to agents’ mobilizations.”
In addition, Roots Party accused the Wamae of associating herself with their opponents, and advocating for their ideologies.
“It is in our knowledge that you have continuously disassociated yourself with the party and its ideologies. You have associated yourself with our opponents and advocated for their ideologies,” read the letter.
Nonetheless, Justina Wamae is expected to show up for the disciplinary hearing at the party headquarters in Karen, on Friday, August 26.

Similarly, Justina has been warned to cease from speaking on behalf of the party failure to which, legal action will be taken against her.
“Failure to stop the misrepresentation and irresponsible utterances, we have instructions to institute a legal action against you without further notice, to you, to your peril as to cost and consequences.” Read the letter.
