President William Ruto is today, Sunday September 25 holding a thanksgiving service at the State house ground.
The event will be attended by invited guests only, yet to be disclosed.
The thanksgiving service comes days after people have been airing concerns about the degree of religiosity in public offices.
Gospel artist Reuben Kigame had called out President William Ruto for what he described as overdoing religion instead of lowering the cost of living.
“I am a committed Christian who believes in prayer and believes God has helped us this far and will continue to trust Him for the future of Kenya, but I hope that issues such as lowering food prices will not be met with the State house saying, “let’s pray about it, “Kigame Stated
The President and first lady Rachel arrived in the Country on Sunday morning where they had travelled overseas for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and the 77th United Nations’ General Assembly.
