Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has dismissed claims of delayed disbursement of funds to public schools terming them false.
Speaking at Ogande Girls High School Homa Bay, Magoha said capitations for all schools was disbursed in April
“Capitation for secondary schools is a sizable amount of money, about Sh. 16.9 billion which is 22,400 for each student which the media is making noises about, “he said.
The CS noted that treasury is already preparing money for next term to be sent before schools re-open
“We have always ensured that capitation for the children is availed in schools before the following term begins,” he explained.
At the same time Magoha said that CBC is there to stay
He called on all stakeholders to embrace the curriculum going forward.
