Flavian Mwangi Waweru who was a military officer and Commandant of Kenya Air Force (KAF) Training Wing was found unresponsive in his car Monday, September 26, evening along Juja Road.
According to witnesses Mwangi’s car had been in the scene for a long time, prompting them to call police and military officials.
Nonetheless, the cause of death is not yet clear.
Moreover, the military officials reported that the officer had left the camp at about 4 pm and got into his Toyota Vitz car heading to the city centre when he died.
Nonetheless, police and military officers who were called to the scene rushed Mwangi to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In addition, Col Mwangi Waweru had between September 22 and 23 presided over the closing ceremony of the Kenya Air Force New Soldiers Sports Talent Search Championship 2022 at the Sina Makosa Stadium, Moi Air Base in Nairobi.
Moreover, the event which lasted two days saw new soldiers compete in various sporting activities ranging from football, netball, volleyball and cross-country.

Col Mwangi encouraged the military troops to continue working towards continually improving their fitness levels and talents.
Furthermore his colleagues have described him as a hard-working officer.
Both police and military have launched joint probe into the cause of his death.
