Donald Trump took credit on Friday for making the 2020 elections “the most secure election ever,” but at the same time claim Democrats “rigged it.”
In a Twitter post, Trump declared, “For years the Dems have been preaching how unsafe and rigged our elections have been. Now they are saying what a wonderful job the Trump Administration did in making 2020 the most secure election ever.”
“Actually this is true, except for what the Democrats did. Rigged Election!” he added.

Social Media Users Mocked Donald Trump
Social media users mocked Trump for the contradictions in the tweet.
The president wants credit for the safest election in history while claiming it's been stolen from him via massive fraud. https://t.co/X9OGRxkhpx

Push Back
A coalition of state and federal officials pushed back against President Trump’s claims of widespread election fraud, saying they have no evidence that ballots were compromised — and saying “the election was the most secure in American history.”
“While we know there are many unfounded claims and opportunities for misinformation about the process of our elections, we can assure you we have the utmost confidence in the security and integrity of our elections, and you should too,” the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in a statement.
“When you have questions, turn to elections officials as trusted voices as they administer elections,” the lead US cyber security agency added.
“America, we have confidence in the security of your vote, you should, too,” the statement continued.
