President Uhuru Kenyatta will on Friday, June 23 convene the second Amio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition council.
The meeting will be held at the KICC, the same venue where the first meeting was held back in April after the Registrar of Political Parties gave the coalition the green light.
Uhuru who chairs the coalition council further stated that the meeting will be spearheaded by presidential aspirant Raila Odinga.
Top on the list of the council meeting’s agenda includes reviewing, formulating and/or approving party policies.
The council is also expected to review the party’s campaign strategy and plan, which includes but is not limited to; ensuring Odinga wins the 2022 presidential race, as well as ensuring Azimio forms the next government and the majority of Parliament in all 47 county assemblies.
Others are Taveta MP Naomi Shaban, Kanduyi legislator Wafula Wamunyinyi, Murang’a Woman Rep Sabina Chege, Abdi Noor Omar Farah and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, who is the party’s National Coalition Executive Council Secretary-General.
