Outgoing governors Lee Kinyanjui and Martin Wambora have skipped swearing in ceremonies of their successors
In Embu outgoing governor Martin Wambora has skipped the swearing-in ceremony for his successor Cecily Mbarire and her deputy Kinyua Mugo.
Wambora’s decision to skip is still known to him.
In Nakuru outgoing governor Lee Kinyajui also skipped the swearing in ceremony of Susan Kihika
Kinyajui was instead represented by his outgoing deputy Erick Korir
No reason has been given for the absence of Kinyajui at the important ceremony

The outgoing Nakuru governor has disputed the win of Kihika and said the election was marred with irregularities
Kinyajui has however not filed any petition to challenge the election of Kihika.
Kihika who is the outgoing Nakuru Senator has been a fierce critic of Kinyanjui and his administration
Kinyanjui succeeded the first Nakuru governor Kinuthia Mbugua who like him also served for one term
On his part Wambora has served Embu County for two consecutive years.
Wambora vied for the Embu senator position in the just concluded general election but lost
